This page says plainly what you can and cannot rely on here. It applies to every guide, table and tool on Nidarshana Vedh Vastu.
Tradition and interpretation, not advice
The pages report what the classical Vastu texts say, in the English translations we could read, together with our own reading of them. That is knowledge about a tradition. It is not professional advice of any kind, and it is not a survey or an opinion on your particular home. The method and sources page lists what we read and what we did not.
Please ask the right professional
- Buildings and safety. Vastu is not a substitute for a structural engineer or an architect. Do not alter walls, doors, stairs, kitchens or wiring because of something you read here. None of the texts we read asks anyone to demolish or rebuild a home on the strength of a table, and neither do we.
- Health. Nothing here diagnoses or treats anything. If a symptom worries you, please see a doctor.
- Money and law. Questions about buying, selling, renting, building permits, contracts or investment belong with a qualified financial adviser or lawyer.
No guarantees
No reading, table, tool result or remedy on this site guarantees an outcome, whether in health, money, relationships or peace of mind. We have not tested whether the results the tradition describes are true of any home, and we do not claim they are. A door in a cautioned square is not a curse, and nothing here should make you afraid of your home.
If you are struggling
If you are struggling, talk to a person before a chart. In India, Tele-MANAS is free and open around the clock on 14416, and 14446 is the national de-addiction helpline. Elsewhere, a doctor or your local emergency number.
Tools
The free tools apply the rules of the texts to the details you enter. They are only as good as those details and the rules, and they can be wrong. Please read the page that explains each tool before you act on a result.
